My Work

Current & Recent Projects

Here's what else I'm working on!

International Reporting in Bogotá, Colombia:
Female Venezuelan Migrant Musicians Make New Life in Colombia

I traveled with a reporting cohort to Bogotá, Colombia, in the spring of 2025. In Bogotá, female musicians who have migrated from Venezuela now make a living performing in a new country. We spent one week traveling in small groups reporting on the broader topic of migrant musicians in Colombia, and I shot, wrote, tracked, and edited this version of the story. This was my final project produced for Journalism 305: JOURneys.

WTTW Partnership & SPJ Mark of Excellence Award-Winner:
Social Impact of The Red Line Extension Project (watch here!)

It's a promise 50 years in the making. In my "Social Justice Reporting in Chicago" course, I worked in a team of four to report on the Red Line Extension Project, which will connect residents from 95th Street to 130th Street to the rest of the city. I was the lead videographer for the piece, was selected to track for the story, and assisted in script creation and editing. The web version of the story was posted on December 9, and the package aired on Chicago Tonight and Chicago Tonight Black Voices on December 11, 2024.

PinkNews Partnership:
Politics on a College Campus Social Media Content

This is an ongoing partnership between PinkNews and Northwestern's Queer Media Association. I shot a social-media-style vox pop video on the overwhelming popularity of Vice President Kamala Harris on the Northwestern campus on the day of the 2024 election. I am working to create additional content on the intersection of politics and campus life at Northwestern.

Evanston Roundtable Partnership:
Intersection of Art and the Environment in Evanston

From galleries to maker spaces, Evanston's art community is conscientious about the changing climate. This is the final package I produced for my "Journalism In Practice: Video Reporting" course, working in a group of two as a videographer and the lead editor. The story will have the opportunity to be published on the Evanston RoundTable website.
